Nolaswamp is a collaboration of the talents of
New Orleans Artists Peter Boutté and Annie Watts
Our art starts with images captured by myself, Peter Boutté.
Using a self taught technique on the computer, I transform
the images into digital works of art.
Many of these images are of New Orleans, our home. They
capture the spirit and culture of the city and its people.
I take the images and print them on canvas, papers and
fabrics.
Annie and I take the images and combine them with wood,
paint, canvas, fabrics, paper, leather, glass, and other
mediums to create our own style of contemporary folk art.
All our art is exclusively produced by the two of us, from
conception of the original image, to final packaging.
We are currently located in Asheville N.C.,
having relocated from New Orleans after hurricane Katrina.
