Nolaswamp is the creation of New Orleans artists
Peter Boutté and Annie Blue Sky Watts.
Nolaswamp began in early 2005. When Katrina
arrived and changed all our lives, we went on the road
not knowing if or when we would return, and landed in
Asheville N.C. We travelled from there to art shows
and music festivals showing and selling our art. All the
time, we kept thinking about New Orleans, and we
went back regularly to visit our family and friends.
We watched as the city slowly began to dig itself out
of the chaotic aftermath. We came to realize that
New Orleans would never be the same, but it was still
home.
Finally in November 2010, we moved back home.
We're still traveling to shows and markets but you
can also see us around New Orleans at local festivals
and art markets and other venues.
